By using our services, leaving a device with us for repair, purchasing products from us, or accessing our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

1. General Service Framework & Customer Obligations

Repairs & Diagnostics

All repairs are carried out with reasonable skill and care.

Electronic devices may contain hidden, pre-existing or intermittent faults that are not apparent before repair. Repair King cannot be held responsible for faults arising from existing damage, previous repairs, liquid ingress, component deterioration or manufacturing defects unrelated to the repair requested.

Some repairs, particularly those involving liquid damage, motherboard faults or heavily damaged devices, carry an inherent risk due to the condition of the device before work begins.

Customer Responsibility

Customers should disclose any known faults, previous repairs, accidental damage, liquid damage or relevant device history before work begins.

Failure to disclose known issues may affect warranty eligibility where those issues contribute to subsequent faults.

Leaving a device with us confirms that you have accepted these Terms & Conditions.

Payment

The customer confirms that:

  • all information supplied is accurate;
  • the payment method belongs to them or they have authority to use it;
  • sufficient funds are available.

Providing false information or knowingly using an unauthorised payment method may be treated as fraud and reported where appropriate.

2. 90-Day Limited Repair Warranty

Repair King provides a 90-Day Limited Warranty on repairs.

This warranty covers only:

  • the specific replacement parts installed by Repair King; and
  • the workmanship involved in fitting those parts.

The warranty applies only where the replacement part develops a genuine manufacturing defect or where the repair workmanship is found to be faulty.

If a warranty claim is accepted, Repair King will, at its discretion:

  • repair the fault;
  • replace the defective component; or
  • provide another appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

3. Product Sales (New, Refurbished & Accessories)

New Products

New products supplied by Repair King are covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.

Refurbished / Used Devices

Refurbished devices supplied by Repair King are covered by a six-month repair or replacement policy in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

A valid proof of purchase is required.

The warranty does not apply where inspection finds:

  • accidental damage;
  • liquid damage;
  • misuse;
  • unauthorised repairs;
  • customer-induced damage.

Accessories

Accessories including chargers, cables, adapters, cases and similar products carry a 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects only.

Normal wear and tear, snapped cables, bent connectors, broken charging tips, accidental damage and misuse are not covered.

Nothing within this section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

4. Physical Damage & Liquid Damage Exclusions

IMPORTANT WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The Repair King warranty does not cover accidental or physical damage occurring after collection.

The warranty will not apply where inspection identifies any of the following:

Display Damage

  • cracked outer glass
  • cracked LCD/OLED panels
  • internal LCD fractures
  • pressure marks
  • display bleeding
  • vertical or horizontal lines
  • dead pixels caused by impact
  • touch-screen failure resulting from accidental damage or structural pressure

Internal LCD/OLED fractures, pressure damage and impact-related display faults are considered accidental physical damage and are not manufacturing defects.

Structural Damage

  • bent devices
  • twisted chassis
  • dents
  • impact marks
  • crushed housings
  • damaged hinges
  • damaged charging ports
  • damaged HDMI or USB ports caused by force

Liquid Damage

Evidence of liquid ingress, corrosion or triggered liquid indicators will void the repair warranty.

Liquid-damaged devices are repaired entirely at the customer’s risk.

Cleaning corrosion or repairing liquid-damaged devices carries an inherent risk that hidden corrosion may cause further component failure during or after repair.

Repair King cannot guarantee successful repair of liquid-damaged devices.

Diagnostic and cleaning charges remain payable regardless of repair outcome.

5. Customer Responsibility After Collection

Once a repaired device has been collected, responsibility for its care and condition transfers to the customer.

The warranty does not cover damage occurring after collection including:

  • accidental drops
  • impact damage
  • pressure damage
  • twisting
  • bending
  • cracked displays
  • liquid damage
  • misuse
  • neglect
  • third-party repair attempts

Where inspection shows that a replacement component has suffered accidental or physical damage after collection, any further repair will be treated as a new chargeable repair.

6. Collection & Acceptance of Repair

Customers are encouraged to inspect and test their device before leaving the store.

Payment and collection confirm that the customer has accepted the repair as completed and functioning correctly unless an obvious fault is reported before leaving the premises.

Where a customer later reports a fault, Repair King reserves the right to inspect the device before determining whether the issue is covered under warranty.

7. Warranty Assessment Procedure

Where a warranty claim is made, Repair King should first be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the device.

Repair King may request that the device remains with us for diagnostic testing before any warranty decision is made.

Our engineers will determine whether the reported fault results from:

  • manufacturing defect;
  • repair workmanship;
  • accidental damage;
  • liquid damage;
  • misuse;
  • normal wear and tear; or
  • unrelated component failure.

Where physical or accidental damage is identified, the warranty will not apply.

Repair King may rely upon technician reports, photographs, diagnostic records and engineering findings when assessing warranty claims.

8. Repair Records & Evidence

To assist with quality control, warranty assessments and dispute resolution, Repair King may create and retain repair records including:

  • photographs before, during and after repair;
  • diagnostic reports;
  • serial numbers;
  • engineer notes;
  • testing records;
  • customer communications.

These records may be used to:

  • verify the condition of a device;
  • assess warranty claims;
  • resolve customer complaints;
  • defend payment disputes or chargebacks.

9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If a customer believes a repair is covered under warranty, they should first return the device to Repair King for inspection.

Where evidence demonstrates that:

  • the agreed repair was completed;
  • the device was accepted upon collection; or
  • the reported issue falls outside the warranty,

Repair King reserves the right to dispute any chargeback or payment dispute by submitting supporting evidence including:

  • invoices;
  • repair records;
  • technician reports;
  • diagnostic logs;
  • photographs;
  • customer communications;
  • CCTV footage where available.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable legislation.

Subject to applicable law, Repair King’s total liability arising from any repair or product shall not exceed the amount paid for that repair or product.

Repair King shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses including:

  • loss of income;
  • loss of profits;
  • business interruption;
  • loss of opportunity;
  • third-party claims.

11. Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up all data before leaving a device with us.

Repair King accepts no responsibility for the loss, corruption or disclosure of data during diagnosis or repair.

12. Accessories Left With Devices

Unless specifically recorded on the repair ticket, Repair King accepts no responsibility for SIM cards, memory cards, protective cases, chargers or other removable accessories left with a device.

13. Repair Times

Repair completion estimates are provided in good faith but cannot be guaranteed.

Repairs requiring specialist or internationally sourced parts may take longer than originally estimated.

Repair King is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping companies, customs or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Uncollected Devices

Customers will be notified using the contact details provided when repairs are completed or deemed beyond economical repair.

Devices remaining uncollected for more than 60 days after notification may be subject to reasonable storage charges and may ultimately be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding repair, storage or parts costs, where permitted by law.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland and the applicable laws of the United Kingdom.

Repair King reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any transactions or repairs will be governed by the version of the Terms in effect on the date the device was booked in or purchased
